John Letters unveils Black irons and driver

John Letters has launched its latest limited edition Master Model Black irons and driver. Using the Open Championship at Royal St Georges as an appropriate background to the brand's traditions, it attracted much interest, both on the range and in the Swing Zone area of the tented village.

The MM Black irons (3-PW from £649) feature a carbon steel construction for a soft feel, but come with an anti-glare black nickel finish for a stunning look at address.

The MM Black Tour driver (approx £249) is targeted towards the low handicap golfer and with a plasma welded hot Beta Titanium face, a classic pear shape at address one degree open face angle preferred by better players.

John Letters also revealed its new Golden Goose (£99) and Silver Swan putter (£79.99) range, including the Original Golden Goose with its double face design. All its putters are CNC milled from 303 stainless steel and feature ‘Roll-It’ technology grooves on the face. ? ?Tour Black wedges cost from £79.99.

John Letters’ managing director, John Andrew, was among the first to congratulate Darren Clarke on his outstanding victory. The Ulsterman was a Letters’ staff player in his early days, when he turned professional in 1991 and coincidentally emulates Fred Daly, the last golfer from Northern Ireland to win The Open at Hoylake in 1947.

Daly was a John Letters staff using the iconic Master Model irons.
