Covid-19 measures set to be reintroduced at Scottish golf clubs
From December 27, golf clubs in Scotland will have to follow a new set of stringent Covid-19 measures as a result of the Omicron variant.
Measures to restrict the spread of Covid-19 are to be implemented at Scottish golf clubs after the festive period.
From December 27 and onwards, a new set of stringent rules will be introduced in order to curb the spread of the new Omicron variant.
Clubs will be advised to enforce one-metre distancing between different groups in clubhouses and other indoor hospitality settings.
Also, there will be a new restriction that says no more than three households will be able to play together in one group on the golf course.

According to bunkered.co.uk, this updated guidance list was sent by Scottish Golf to all of its affiliated clubs on Wednesday morning.
These new regulations arrive after First Minister Nicola Sturgeon announced further restrictions in general life settings as a result of the challenge posed by the Omicron variant.
A number of popular outdoor events in Scotland have had to be cancelled such as Edinburgh's traditional Hogmanay street party.

According to reports, Omicron is now judged to be the dominant strain of Covid-19 in Scotland. It accounts for 62.9% of all positive cases of Coronavirus.
When face coverings were made compulsory in most indoor public places in England on December 10, England Golf issued a statement that encouraged golf clubs to shape their rules around the new government guidelines.
England Golf also advised that where possible, employees at English golf clubs should work from home.
