Dustin Johnson doesn't appear to have any plans of changing his schedule to include the PGA Tour in the future.

The 39-year-old is currently in Spain with the rest of LIV Golf for it's eighth event of the season at the treacherous Real Club Valderrama.

After seven events of its 14-tournament second campaign, the league took a lengthy break during the month of June.

However, some players, like Johnson, still had a tournament on their schedule with the 123rd US Open just over a week ago.

Johnson, who is one of three two-time LIV Golf winners, finished tied for 10th at last week's tournament in California.

Ahead of LIV Golf Valderrama this week, Johnson spoke to the media with fellow LIV captains Phil Mickelson and Brooks Koepka.

During that press conference, the trio of major winners were asked in light of the recent merger news, if they had any desire to return to the PGA Tour.

"I'm excited for the future," Johnson said, adding:

"I think with this agreement, the only thing that's going to happen is LIV is going to get even better than what it is now, which it's already great. I'm happy exactly where I am, and I'm definitely not looking to play more golf than I'm playing now, that's for sure."

Koepka also answered the question.

"I've been pretty happy with my decision to be here at LIV. I've enjoyed it," the recent PGA Championship winner told reporters.

"I'm not going to speak for everybody else, but I would say everybody is pretty excited, and everybody is pretty happy with where they're at right now. It's tough to look into the future and say -- I don't have any control over what other guys do, but I know I'm happy where I'm at right now, and just take it one day at a time." - Brooks Koepka

At the beginning of the month, the PGA Tour announced a bombshell agreement between itself, the DP World Tour, and the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia (PIF), which finances LIV Golf.

The three parties would supposedly be combining their golf-related commercial businesses and rights to create a new, for-profit entity.

PIF governor Yasir Al-Rumayyan will serve as chairman while PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan will be CEO.

It's still unclear what this means for the future of LIV Golf, the PGA Tour, or the men's professional golf landscape. However, on Tuesday, more details of the new agreement appeared to have been leaked.

Mickelson also appeared confident the future of men's professional golf will be good. But he wouldn't speculate about his future.
