LIV Golf Valderrama prize money, payout info: How much they are playing for
All the payout info for the LIV Golf Valderrama event.
After a lengthy break over the month of June, LIV Golf is returning this week for the second half of the 2023 season with its Valderrama event.
LIV Golf Valderrama is named after the course that will host the eighth event of the league's 14-event second season: Real Club Valderrama.
It's a 7,028-yard par-71 course located in Sotogrande, Spain that has played host to the DP World Tour's Andalucia Masters eight times.
However, the tour is not making the trip to the course in 2023.
Heading into the second portion of the season, Dustin Johnson's 4 Aces GC have a comfortable lead over Louis Oosthuizen's Stinger GC, while Talor Gooch continues to top the individual points race.
LIV's last event was held in Washington, D.C., at the end of May where Harold Varner III clinched his first victory on the circuit.
Cameron Smith, who's been relatively quiet this year compared to his incredible results in 2022, was the strongest LIV performer at the US Open held just over a week ago. The Australian finished alone in fourth, four-strokes back of winner Wyndham Clark.
Over the month-long break, rumours swirled that Smash GC's Matthew Wolff had requested a trade from Brooks Koepka's team due to clashing personalities.
However, it appears as though the 24-year-old is still on Smash as we head into the Valderrama event.
This will also mark the first LIV Golf tournament since news broke that the PGA Tour and DP World Tour had formed an agreement with the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia (PIF) - which finances LIV Golf - to create a new, for-profit entity.
As usual with LIV events, the tournament will begin with a shot-gun start on Friday 30 June.
The total individual purse is $20m with $4m going to the winner, while the team purse is $5m with $3m being split by the winning group.
