Pat Perez mocks himself over lack of team contribution on LIV Golf Tour
Pat Perez appeared to take his lack of contribution to Dustin Johnson's side on the LIV Golf Tour in good spirits as he picked up another massive check.
Pat Perez admitted he was shooting amateur scores as he laughed off his latest "contribution" to Dustin Johnson's 4 Aces GC side on the LIV Golf Invitational Series.
Perez picked up another huge check at LIV Golf Chicago as Johnson's side continued to dominate the team element of the Saudi-backed series' inaugural season.
It was the fourth event in a row that the 4 Aces GC, comprising of Talor Gooch, Patrick Reed, Perez and Johnson split a $3million bonus.
Perez finished T-31 in the 48-man field at Rich Harvest Farms. Johnson shared second place while Reed finished T-12 and Gooch T-35.
The $25m tournament was won by Cameron Smith, who picked up his maiden LIV victory, claiming that his win answered his critics.

Perez, who has withdrawn from the antitrust lawsuit against the PGA Tour after conceding that he didn't fully think through his decision, admitted that he needed to change something so he could contribute more to the side.
That change came in the form of wearing shorts. Greg Norman, the LIV Golf chief executive, confirmed their players had the option of wearing shorts before their event in Boston, which was won by the aforementioned Johnson with a 40-foot bomb for eagle in a playoff.

"We had a team dinner on Friday night after the first round, and yeah, we told Pat to just do Pat," Johnson told the media after Smith claimed his maiden victory on the LIV Golf Tour nine months after lifting the Claret Jug at St Andrews.
"Just wear shorts, do whatever you want, hat backwards, whatever. Just play better."
As the tournament reached its conclusion, it looked at one point that there might be a playoff to determine who would win the team event as the 4 Aces GC were tied with Smash GC.

Smash GC is captained by Brooks Koepka, who recently claimed that one of his biggest takeaways since joining LIV is the fact that the caddies are treated way better than ever before.
The team comprises of his brother Chase Koepka, Peter Uihlien and Jason Kokrak.
In the event of a playoff, Johnson would have had to select two players to take part.
And Perez was not going to be selected!
Here's the full exchange from the press conference:
Q. DJ, it was almost going to be a tie between Four Aces and Smash. If it was going to be a tie, who were the two people you would have picked to go compete --
PAT PEREZ: It was not going to be me; I know that.
Q. Could be yourself, as well.
DUSTIN JOHNSON: Well, of course I'm picking myself.
PAT PEREZ: And then the other low score. You've got to go with the two major champions.
TALOR GOOCH: By the way, she was rooting for a tie the whole time. I'm like, why are you rooting for a tie? We're trying to win this.
DUSTIN JOHNSON: That would have been fine, too. We wanted to win, but a tie would have been kind of fun.
PATRICK REED: No, I like winning.
DUSTIN JOHNSON: If we're in a tie, I'm going in and then we're going to have a team meeting on the other person.
PAT PEREZ: You take the other Masters champion is who you take.
