LIV Golf: Brother of pro calls for IMMEDIATE resignation of DP World Tour chief
Alejandro Larrazabal has torn into the DP World Tour and CEO Keith Pelley for the supposed lack of coverage surrounding Adrian Otaegui at the Estrella Damn N.A. Andalucia Masters.
Former Amateur champion Alejandro Larrazabal has heavily criticised the DP World Tour's coverage of LIV Golf player Adrian Otaegui at the Estrella Damn N.A. Andalucia Masters, calling for boss Keith Pelley to resign.
The Spaniard, who won The Amateur Championship at Royal Porthcawl in 2002, claimed he couldn't find "a single mention" of Otaegui online despite leading the event by six shots after a third-round 64.
Larrazabal was also critical of DP World Tour CEO Pelley who has overseen a period of drastic change since the emergence of the LIV Golf Tour. He and PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan extended the strategic alliance between the two tours to combat the Saudi-backed series.
"I search and search and can't find a single mention of @adrianotaegui's feat today by the DP, leading by 6. Does anyone find anything? If so, I promise to take a course on RRSS management or something... forgive my incompetence... #pathetic," Larrazabal tweeted on Saturday.
"Pelley must not finish the year, under no circumstances... the direction of the circuit is too Dantesque and someone has to fall, quickly, and change course. The last customers of the tour are the fans, let no one forget that."

Otaegui, 29, would become the first LIV Golf player to win on the DP World Tour since its first event took place at the start of June. Currently, the Tour isn't constitutionally able to suspend players in the way the PGA Tour has.
Larrazabal is not the only person who feels Otaegui's superb play at Valderrama this week has gone unnoticed. DP World Tour stalwart Lee Westwood also commented on the event's leaderboard on Twitter: "Is @adrianotaegui leading? And by 6! Wouldn’t know, would you? Good luck today Adrian."
Three-time DP World Tour winner Scott Hend also expressed support for Otaegui having played a practice round with him earlier in the week.
"Be nice to see Adrian Otaegui W after the crap he has had to deal with after playing a couple of LIV events. The Man can Play. He's trailed by Lagergren and Hidalgo 6 off the pace. Might not see a shot from the leader tomorrow," Hend tweeted.
Earlier this year, it was reported that LIV Golf was in talks with Valderrama as they look to hold an event in Spain as part of their 2023 schedule.
However, the DP World Tour are confident talks will come to nothing. Further additions to the schedule could include stops in Singapore, Philadelphia, Washington and Australia.
