Scottie Scheffler baby watch: reporter confirms #babyborn ahead of US PGA
Scottie Scheffler baby update: golf reporter Bob Harig confirms Baby Scheffler is born and the World No.1 will compete in the US PGA.
Scottie Scheffler's wife Meredith has reportedly given birth to their first child, meaning the World No.1 will be able to tee it up in the US PGA Championship at Valhalla next week.
Although no official news of the baby's arrival has been confirmed by Team Scheffler, a tweet from Sports Illustrated reporter Bob Harig this afternoon confirmed the baby is born.

Scheffler, 27, typically gives very little away about his personal life, especially not being on social media, but he did admit during the week of his Masters victory last month that Meredith's due date was 'three weeks away'.
That meant Meredith's due date was either last week or this week.
Golfweek confirmed the Schefflers were still waiting for the birth as of last Thursday.
The Dallas Morning News also reported earlier this week that Scheffler was on baby watch.
But earlier this afternoon, Sports Illustrated's Harig confirmed Scheffler will be teeing it up in the second major of the season at Valhalla.
Harig also wrote #babyborn in his tweet.
Harig tweeted:
There's been nothing official from Scottie Scheffler, his team or the Tour... But word is he will be at Valhalla for the PGA next week after winning four of his last five tournaments, including the Masters. He is currently on the Tuesday interview schedule for 3:30 p.m. #babyborn
Flushing It then followed in with:
"Scottie Scheffler and his wife Meredith have had the baby and Scottie is expected to play at the PGA Championship next week. The world number 1 will be looking to make it 2 wins in a row in the years opening 2 majors. Roll on Valhalla!"
Scheffler withdrew from this week's Wells Fargo Championship in order to be by Meredith's side during this very special moment in their lives.

Scheffler is down on the list to speak with the media on Tuesday at 3.30pm local time (8.30pm UK).
The runaway FedEx Cup leader, who has won four of his last five starts on the PGA Tour, had made it clear last month that he would WD from tournament play immediately should Meredith have gone into labour at the same time.
Scheffler also said last month that he intends to take 'a bit of time off' from the PGA Tour when the baby is eventually born.
Scheffler is currently a red-hot 7/2 favourite to land his first-ever US PGA title next week.
Rory McIlroy is second in the betting at 10/1.
McIlroy is bidding to capture his fifth major title and first in 10 years.
LIV Golf's Brooks Koepka is looking to defend the US PGA for a second time in his career having previously achieved the feat in 2019.
Scheffler is currently priced up at 50/1 to land a grand slam in 2024.
