Next week, the world's top male golfers will shift their focus to the second major championship of the year

The 2026 PGA Championship will be played at Aronimink Golf Club in Pennsylvania over 14-17 May.

World number one Scottie Scheffler returns to defend his title.

Though the 29-year-old American is likely to face strong challenges from Masters champion Rory McIlroy and LIV Golf recruits Jon Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau

American's Cameron Young and England's Matthew Fitzpatrick will also believe they can challenge for the Wanamaker Trophy having been in red-hot form on the PGA Tour this season.

Young pipped Fitzpatrick to victory at the 2026 Players and cantered to victory at the Cadillac Championship.

Fitzpatrick has won three times, including an emotional victory with his younger brother Alex at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.

As things stand, there are currently 125 golfers qualified for the 2026 PGA Championship.

That list includes Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson, though neither are expected to play.

Mickelson has been absent for the majority of the season owing to an undisclosed family health matter.

Woods, 50, is currently in Switzerland underdoing an intensive 90-day rehabilitation programme after being arrested on charges of driving under the influence in March.

Take a look at the full field below for the 2026 PGA Championship.
