LIV Golf CEO Greg Norman rocks up at The Masters as a 'ticketed patron'
‘Hey, the boss is here rooting for you.' Greg Norman rocks up at The Masters for the first time since becoming LIV Golf CEO.
LIV Golf CEO Greg Norman turned plenty of heads on Wednesday afternoon as he rocked up at The Masters as a 'ticketed patron' to cheer on the 13 LIV Golf players in action at the season's first major of 2024.
It marked the first time Norman, 69, had made an appearance at Augusta National since he became LIV Golf CEO in 2022.
Norman never won The Masters but he came runner-up three times: 1986, 1987 and 1996.
The latter saw him throw away a giant lead to Nick Faldo following a dismal final-round 78.

According to Australian Golf Digest, The Great White Shark was striding the famous Georgia turf from outside the ropes as a patron.
He also had a security guard with him.
Norman was wearing his trademark white straw hat and a long sleeve LIV Golf shirt.
The two-time Open champion was seen talking to PGA Tour star Min Woo Lee, who earlier revealed he has broken his finger.
David Cannon of Getty Images caught the exchange between Australian compatriots Norman and Lee.

Augusta National chairman Fred Ridley last year said "never say never" when asked if Norman would ever be welcome back to the season's first major championship.
According to Washington Post, Norman was a 'ticketed patron' during Wednesday's practice round - and not an invited guest.
Washington Post reported Norman "didn’t bother waiting for an invitation and came to the course with a pair of LIV executives through the main gate."
Norman's arrival at Augusta was allegedly met with enthusiasm from the patrons.
In an on-course interview, Norman said: "Walking around here today, there's not one person who said to me, 'Why did you do LIV?'
"There's been hundreds of people, even security guys, stopping me, saying, 'Hey, what you're doing is fantastic.'
"To me, that tells you that what we have and the platform fits within the ecosystem, and it's good for the game of golf."
As for why Norman decided to turn up at The Masters on Wednesday, he said:
“I’m here because we have 13 players but won 10 Masters between them. So I’m just here to support them, do the best I can to show them, ‘Hey, the boss is here rooting for you.'”
