The long-time car of PGA Tour superstar Scottie Scheffler has been put up for auction with all proceeds going to support the Triumph Over Kid Cancer Charity.

Scheffler, 28, has decided to put his 2012 GMC Yukon XL up for auction with proceeds going to TOKC, a charity first set up by his friend James Regan who sadly died from osteosarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer.

"James was a buddy that I grew up with playing golf," Scheffler told Golfweek.

"He passed away due to cancer but he started this foundation.

"It’s something we’re very passionate about."

Scheffler claims his 2012 GMC Yukon XL has 190,000 miles on the clock and it was the car used to transport him to all of his junior golf events, Monday qualifiers on the PGA Tour and even to Augusta National when he won his first Masters title in 2022.

The car was passed down by his father Scott after graduating from college.

Despite all the money Scheffler has won on the PGA Tour over recent years, he had still been driving his GMC Yukon XL up until his first child, Bennett, was born this year.

Scheffler has signed the dashboard and the passenger side (on the air bag panel) with a 'First Owned Vehicle' inscription and the second signature appears on the right visor (vanity mirror cover).

The bidding for the car has started at $50,000 at Heritage Auctions.

Golf commentator Jim Nantz has set the initial bid.

Heritage Auctions has confirmed it will be donating 100% of its commission to TOKC.

"I definitely drove it for too long," Scheffler told Golfweek

Scheffler told the publication how he once had a debate on the range at the 2022 Charles Schwab Challenge with his caddie Ted Scott as to which of their cars was worth more.

"I think you have the only car in player parking this week that is worth less than my car," Scheffler said to Scott.

"He’s like, ‘No way, man, Toyotas run forever, my car is worth way more than your car.’

"We had this back and forth and we kept hitting balls and I said, ‘I got it, my car is worth more than your car because mine has the Masters GMC logo on the back and I’m a Masters champion.’"
