Emiliano Grillo completely lost his cool in the greenside bunker on the 10th hole in the second round of the Olympic Golf Competition at Le Golf National in Paris.

Grillo, 31, had opened the Olympic Golf Tournament brightly with a 5-under 66 on Thursday.

But after an early birdie at the par-5 3rd in the second round, the wheels came right off as Grillo made the turn.

The two-time PGA Tour winner bogeyed the par-5 9th and then carried his frustration immediately into the next hole.

In particular when leaving his approach shot short in the greenside bunker.

Grillo stepped into the sand and shuffled his feet.

He then caught too much ball and left himself a 35-footer for par.

But before the ball had even stopped, Grillo took four big swipes at the sand.

A number of fans were quick to point out on social media that the Argentinian is widely known as 'Grumpy Grillo' on Tour.

Grillo then two-putted for bogey and then carried his frustration into the rest of the back nine.

He bogeyed three holes in a row from the 12th before calming things down with a birdie at the 15th.

Another bogey followed at 17 and it all added up to a 4-over 75.

Grillo, who is ranked 67th in the Official World Golf Rankings, now finds himself well out of contention down in T35 on 1-under par.
