PGA Tour golfer Adam Hadwin was at the receiving end of a brutal dig from his wife Jessica after the Canadian gave a surprising take on the current state of affairs with the North American circuit.

Hadwin hopped on to SiriusXM PGA Tour Radio on Tuesday to discuss his own game and what members have been told about the ongoing peace talks between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf's backers.

The 36-year-old became the latest player to acknowledge that his opinions don't actually matter.

And that checked his ego, Hadwin said.

"I have learned over this past year and a half that I do not really have much of a say, which, at some points, I'm okay with," he said.

"I try and liken what's going on right now to a Fortune 500 company or a two- or three-billion dollar revenue company.

"At some point, the guys that work for it are not going to know what's going on."

Hadwin isn't the first player to take such a stance.

Listen here:

A few weeks ago 2022 U.S. Open champion Matthew Fitzpatrick declared he has stopped caring about whether men's professional golf will ultimately come back together.

"I just don't care," he blasted.

"Me saying things to the PGA Tour board, me saying things to the DP World Tour board, it's not going to change, so why am I going to waste my time talking about it?"

Fitzpatrick also reckoned it was a mistake for the DP World Tour to form a strategic alliance with the PGA Tour.

As for Hadwin, he said that he would like to have a say in matters.

"Of course, I have opinions and stuff, but I don’t think they matter," he said.

"You hate to say that, but it's a bit of an ego check sometimes.

"Honestly, I have no idea what's going on."

Hadwin's comments clearly caught the attention of his wife Jessica.

She chimed in:

Amazing.
