PGA Tour golfer Wyndham Clark has denied cussing at Tom Kim during the 2024 Presidents Cup

The biennial contest was once again a one-sided affair, with Jim Furyk's Team USA running out comfortable winners against the International team at Royal Montreal in Quebec.

But the match did have a few memorable highlights.

None more so than the antics of the aforementioned Kim, who got involved in a spat with Scottie Scheffler and also grew frustrated that one short putt wasn't conceded.

Kim and Si Woo Kim were involved in an absorbing foursomes contest on the Saturday evening against Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele.

Cantlay came up clutch and drained a bomb at the final hole to take the point.

Tom Kim later accused the American team of lacking sportsmanship.

He also accused U.S. players of cursing at him, an allegation that was strenuously denied.

Clark has yet to give his verdict on what transpired.

Until now.

Clark told Golf Digest he believed some of Tom Kim's antics were 'fabricated' given he is the type of player that is 'usually quiet'.

He also says any cursing was aimed at his teammates.

He told the publication: "Earlier that morning [Keegan Bradley] and I played Tom and Si Woo.

"And we witnessed them making tons of putts on us and playing unbelievable and then obviously witnessed all of the celebrations that they were doing.

"And then just some of the other antics that maybe people weren't seeing on TV, that obviously just kind of gets you to where you're a little frustrated because some of it was extreme, in my opinion.

"Some of it seemed a little fabricated and so it almost didn't seem authentic, especially for someone that's usually pretty quiet, and so it almost seemed like they were trying to do something.

"So we could feel that. And so [Keegan] and I lost, they beat us fair and square. They played unbelievable."

Clark explained what he saw when he went to root for Cantlay and Schauffele

He continued: "I mean, they were just birdie after birdie. Every other hole. It was quite amazing and I mean, as far as the cussing that was going on or any of the trash-talking, I feel like on our team, we were doing it only towards our guys.

"So guys were saying, y'know, "LFG" for our team and I think that's where the cussing was."

Clark also offered his take on Si Woo Kim's 'night-night' celebration.

The golfer tied the match at the 16th hole with a remarkable chip off an uphill lie.

Clark was confused.

He said: "He did that right in front of Tony Finau and I, and we looked at each other. We're like, ‘it’s a tight ball game. I don't understand why you would do that?'

"And then we go to 18, obviously, and we both were sitting there and we're like, 'Man, if we win this hole, we’re for sure giving them – we're putting it right back in their face'."
