John Deere Classic prize money: Check out how much money the golfers took home as Davis Thompson claimed his maiden PGA Tour victory.
An emotional Davis Thompson claimed his maiden PGA Tour victory at the 2024 John Deere Classic.
Thompson came into the event at TPC Deere Run in superb form, having finished in a tie for second in the Rocket Mortgage Classic a week prior.
Thompson, 25, fired a brilliant 64 in the final round to seal an emphatic four-shot victory on a tournament record 28-under par at TPC Deere Run.
The previous John Deere Classic scoring record had been set by Michael Kim (27-under par) during his eight-shot victory in 2018.
As ever, Thompson's victory came with a number of perks.
Not only did he book his spot into the field for the 2024 Open Championship, he also secured a winner's cheque for north of $1,000,000.
Thompson claimed the top prize of $1,440,000.
