The penultimate event of the PGA Tour's season-long FedEx Cup race is here and there's plenty to play for at the 50-man BMW Championship as players battle to make the 30-man finale at the Tour Championship next week.

World No.1 Scottie Scheffler might be a runaway FedEx Cup leader right now having won six official titles on the PGA Tour this season, but he can be caught by Xander Schauffele this Sunday.

World No.2 Schauffele, who trails Scheffler by some 1,500 points in second place in the standings, must win the BMW Championship and then hope Scheffler finishes no better than a two-way T4.

The leader of the FedEx Cup following the conclusion of the BMW Championship will start next week's Tour Championship at 10-under par and with a two-shot lead over the player in second place.

The winner of the Tour Championship will be crowned FedEx Cup champion and receive a record PGA Tour prize of $25m

The total prize money on offer this week is $20m, meaning the winner will scoop a whopping $4m

There are plenty of other permutations on the line at the BMW Championship, particularly for those players on the bubble of the top 30.

GolfMagic has listed below the minimum finishes required for those players currently ranked 31-50 in the standings entering the BMW Championship so you can see what those on the outside looking in require in order to qualify themselves for the FedEx Cup finale.

Newly-promoted US Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley starts the week in 50th place and he must finish in a two-way T9 at Castle Pines GC as a bare minimum in order to progress to East Lake.

Tommy Fleetwood, who starts in 31st position, could still scrape through in 30th place with a two-way T48, but the Englishman will certainly be looking to make life much easier for himself with a stronger finish than that.
