It begged the question to many, why weren't the tee times brought forward given the forecast?
"You guys make it so hard to watch your product," one X user wrote to the official PGA Tour communications account.
Another added: "If only this could be avoided."

"The stars were forced to play the week after a major and were looking forward to finally heading home tonight."
Play was officially suspended due to darkness at 7.45pm with world number one Scottie Scheffler leading by five strokes on 20-under.
Scheffler will resume his final round on the 16th hole.
Before play was suspended, Scheffler made an incredible up-and-down to save par on the 15th after finding the water with his second stroke.
Scheffler hooked a wedge from 130 yards to a back left pin and drained an 11ft putt to salvage a five and effectively win the tournament.
Last week, Scheffler became the Masters champion for the second time in his life.
He insisted earlier in the week that despite being tired he had no intentions of withdrawing this week.
Scheffler is chasing his fourth victory in five starts.
