Dustin Johnson reveals why wife Paulina Gretzky is not with him at The Open
Dustin Johnson reveals why his wife Paulina Gretzky has not attended The Open Championship with him this week.
Dustin Johnson has revealed his wife Paulina Gretzky didn't travel with him to this week's 152nd Open Championship at Royal Troon because she doesn't like the Scottish weather.
Johnson, 40, spoke to reporters after carding an improved 2-under 69 in the second round.
It pushes the LIV Golf star up to 1-over par for the tournament but eight shots behind 36-hole leader Shane Lowry heading into the weekend.

While the two-time major champion is still very much in the chasing pack with two rounds to play, he has at least given himself an outside chance of a first Open Championship title.
Should Johnson go on to lift the famous Claret Jug on the 18th green on Sunday, his wife Paulina won't be there to see him do it.
That's because Paulina has decided to go on vacation with her pals in swanky Saint-Tropez.
Apparently Paulina isn't a fan of wind gusts in the region of 30mph on the Ayrshire links.
But DJ admits, can you really blame her?
Johnson did confirm he would be jetting over to meet Paulina in Saint-Tropez in France once he's finished at The Open on Sunday night.
The only family member Johnson has on site this week is his brother and caddie, Austin.

Q. Any family members, any friends here for you this week?
DUSTIN JOHNSON: Well, my brother's here.
Q. Yeah, I hope so. If he's not --
DUSTIN JOHNSON: No, my wife, her and a couple of friends are in Saint-Tropez. I'll meet her on Sunday.
Q. She doesn't like this weather?
DUSTIN JOHNSON: I don't blame her.
As for whether Johnson fancies himself to overhaul an eight-shot deficit on leader Shane Lowry heading into the weekend, the former World No.1 admitted he needs conditions over the next 48 hours that Paulina would dislike.
Johnson said of his faint hopes at The Open:
"It all depends. It just depends on the weather really. Tough conditions, you don't need to be -- you can be pretty far behind as long as you play well."
Johnson has endured a tough few months on the golf course this season.
He got off to a solid start with a third career title on LIV Golf in Vegas in February.
But he has only notched three top-10s.
DJ missed the cut at both The Masters and US Open, and he came T43 at the US PGA.
Johnson has never won The Open but the former World No.1 is eligible to compete in the final major of the season as a result of his Masters victory in 2020.
He won his first major at the 2016 US Open.
