Sergio Garcia and wife Angela's 2024 FORE Kids ATX charity event raises nearly $2m
Celebrities and pro golfers gather in Austin to raise nearly $2m for Sergio Garcia and Angela Garcia’s FORE Kids ATX 2024 fundraiser.
Sergio Garcia's two-day FORE Kids ATX charity event that he annually hosts alongside his wife Angela Garcia raised nearly $2m for children and families across central Texas on 1-2 November.
FORE Kids ATX benefits organizations near and dear to Sergio and Angela’s hearts, including Dell Children’s Medical Center, Foster Village, The Muny Conservancy Austin Youth Golf Academy and The UGLI Foundation – organizations dedicated to providing youth medical care, support for foster children, anti-bullying solutions and youth golf community programming.
Since its inception in 2022, FORE Kids ATX has now raised just shy of $6m for organizations that improve the lives, programs and healthcare services for children and families in Texas.
The festivities for 2024 kicked off with the Par-TEE on Friday 1 November at the Four Seasons Hotel in Austin.
Garcia's charity event featured acrobatics, aerialists, dinner, and dancing, bringing together high-profile guests like comedian Ron White, footballer Derrick Johnson, motivational speaker Kondo Speaks, and actresses Becca Tobin and Jamie-Lynn Sigler, with television host Chris Harrison as emcee.
An auction was also held with the highlight a painting by Garcia's father-in-law Marty Akins fetching $100,000.
The 2024 FORE Kids Golf Tournament then took place on Saturday 2 November with a 9 a.m. shotgun start at Fazio Foothills Golf Course, Omni Barton Creek.
Professional golfers Patrick Reed, Abraham Ancer, David Puig and Nick Watney attended the event along with a number of other celebrities and public figures.
Prior to the event taking place, Garcia, 44, sat down with GolfMagic Editor Andy Roberts to talk more about FORE Kids ATX among a number of other golf subjects.

"It was great fun," said Garcia of his 2024 FORE Kids ATX event.
"We raised a good amount of money again, we are just super excited about what we are able to do here for our community in Austin and help so many kids and families.
"It's one of those things that you can't really put a price on it."

Sergio Garcia returns to DP World Tour in 2025
FORE Kids ATX took place two weeks before Garcia officially confirmed his return to the DP World Tour in 2025.
The 2017 Masters champion has now paid off his LIV Golf fines and submitted his application to return to membership of the DP World Tour.
Garcia submitted his application before the 17 November deadline.
Exclusive:
Garcia will now just need to serve a two-month suspension before he is able to officially return to the former European Tour circuit that he has won on 16 times.
The Fireballs GC captain onfirmed to GolfMagic that his suspension on the DP World Tour will last a total of nine weeks.
That kicks in from the DP World Tour's first event of the new 2025 season at the BMW Australian PGA Championship this week.
Garcia is now a member of the DP World Tour for the 2025 season under Category 1, which is reserved for winners of the Race to Dubai Rankings (2017 to 2024) and the four majors (2017 to 2025).
"Yeah it's all confirmed, I am a member of the DP World Tour again so very happy about it," Garcia told GolfMagic Editor Andy Roberts.
"I'm really excited to be back being part of the DP World Tour and excited to play a few events next year, support the Tour and obviously have the possibility of being eligible for the Ryder Cup.
"It's now just time to play good golf and do some nice things."
If Garcia can do exactly that and continue to play well then he will give himself every chance of competing on Luke Donald's 2025 European Ryder Cup team at Bethpage Black in New York from 26-28 September.
Should Garcia earn a place on Donald's side then he would also match the feat of English duo Sir Nick Faldo and Lee Westwood for 11 appearances on a European Ryder Cup team.
That is just one appearance shy of the all-time Ryder Cup appearance record held by LIV Golf's Phil Mickelson with 12.
