'I'm going to cry somewhere' Thriston Lawrence's girlfriend on BMW PGA heartbreak
Thriston Lawrence and his girlfriend react to agonisingly falling short at the BMW PGA at Wentworth on Sunday.
Thriston Lawrence's girlfriend admits she is 'super proud' of the DP World Tour star following his agonising playoff defeat to Billy Horschel at the BMW PGA at famed Wentworth on Sunday.
Lawrence's girlfriend also added she will 'definitely cry somewhere later' when further reflecting on a memorable final day on the iconic West Course.

Lawrence, 27, surged from five shots back starting the final round - aided by back-to-back birdie chip-ins on the first two holes - into a two-shot lead with two holes to play.
But the South African could not find a required birdie at the final two par-5 holes and he ended up in a three-way playoff with eventual champion Horschel and Rory McIlroy after signing for a solid 7-under 65.
Lawrence then found trouble with his tee shot down the right flank on the first extra hole - the par-5 18th - and he elected to go for the green.
His fairway wood strike came out low and left, and his ball ended up in another tough spot in the fairway bunker.
Lawrence took on the shot knowing he needed a birdie to remain in the hunt, but he spun his ball into the water and that was the end of that.
Horschel and McIlroy both got up and down for their birdies, before Horschel sealed a second BMW PGA title when draining a 30-footer for eagle at the second extra hole, once again on the 18th.

The T2 for Lawrence marks a second runner-up finish in his last four starts, as well as a fifth of the season.
Lawrence also finished solo fourth at the 152nd Open at Royal Troon in July, which marked his best-ever finish at a major.
The South African has won four times on the DP World Tour with his last win coming at the BMW International Open in June 2023.
It was also a tough consecutve runner-up finish for McIlroy, who was consoled by his daughter Poppy and wife Erica.

While understandably deflated by the eventual outcome, having held a two-shot lead with two holes to play, Lawrence was trying to take the positives as he moved to second behind McIlroy in the season-long DP World Tour Rankings.
"Yeah it was fun," said Lawrence.
"You know, round one was a bit slow, just ball striking wise, but yeah played nicely, overall game was really good, and I came in with some nice form.
"Got into a playoff, so very pleased with that. If you had told me after round one I would have been in a playoff I'd have taken it."
He added: "I think just the last two years has proven I can win anywhere in the world. Being in nice company with Rory and Billy obviously makes you a bit more confident, so let's see what happens over the next few events."
Incredibly, Lawrence's girlfriend dreamt her man would have a two-foot putt for the win - and would be playing alongside Horschel too.
That was very nearly the case.
"I was bit teary on the stand on 18, just to see him grow as well," said Lawrence's girlfriend.
"I have to share this, I woke up Tuesday morning, and the first thing I said to him was 'I literally just had a dream where you and Billy tee off final group this week and it ended with him having a two-foot putt for the win.'
"I mean just to dream that and we both go like 'oh wow, that would be crazy, and it just, happens'.
"For him to realise, like he said, you're more than good enough and you can compete on this level.
"So obviously, super proud. I'm definitely going to cry somewhere later. Just pride."
Lawrence will next be back on the DP World Tour at the Dunhill Links Championship at St Andrews where the likes of McIlroy and 14 LIV Golf players will also be in action.
