Betting odds to make Ryder Cup teams are out and Bryson's odds will SHOCK you!
The bookies think Justin Thomas is a banker to make the US Ryder Cup team, while Bryson DeChambeau is available at huge odds!
The betting odds for players to make both the European and US Ryder Cup teams for next month's biennial clash in Rome are out, and some prices will shock you.
None more so than LIV Golf's 'Mr 58' Bryson DeChambeau at huge odds of 10/1 to earn one of Zach Johnson's six picks in the US Ryder Cup team.
Justin Thomas, on the other hand, a player who has been dramatically out of form of late by missing the FedEx Cup Playoffs for the first time in his PGA Tour career this season is available at very short odds of 1/4.
Do the bookies know something we don't?
Of course JT's past Ryder Cup record and partnership with Jordan Spieth, a lock to make the team, has to be taken on board.
But 1/4. That does seem short for a player so badly out of form by his own high standards.
Thomas, a former World No.1 and two-time US PGA champion, has now tumbled to 24th in the world as a result of missing five of his last eight cuts on the PGA Tour.
Another price that surprises us somewhat is Collin Morikawa, another two-time major champion who is also 1/4 to make the team.
Morikawa has dropped out of the world's top 10 this season down to 20th off the back of a WD and MC in three of his last six starts.
He did finish tied second behind Rickie Fowler at the recent Rocket Mortgage Classic though, which potentially has saved his bacon. But at 1/4, again, that's very short.
Anyway, let's take a look at all the prices for players to make both Zach Johnson's US Ryder Cup team and Luke Donald's European Ryder Cup team.
The price of Ludvig Aberg looks the worst value on the table for the Europeans at the minute, especially at odds of 1/2 when you consider he has only notched one top-10 finish on the PGA Tour and he still looks on from 243rd in the world rankings.
While we all think Johnson has something of a headache to pick his six players following the conclusion of play at the Tour Championship later this month, Donald equally has a similar problem especially with the last couple of picks in his team.
The rest of Donald's team does look pretty set you would like to think.
NOTE: The bookies have left off some players below who while aren't yet 'officially' in the team are considered bankers.
