Tiger Woods was best friends with basketball stars Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley, but when his personal life fell apart, this strong friendship ended.
Tiger Woods was once very close friends with two of the most famous basketball players that America has ever seen, but this came to a shuddering halt.
In 2009, revelations from Woods' personal life poured out into the public. Different women came forward who claimed to have had extramarital affairs with Woods.
At the end of that year, the 15-time major champion admitted to transgressions in his marriage. Many different sponsors dropped Woods and he took a break from the PGA Tour.
Before this scandal, Woods was a 33-year-old who was slowly becoming the best golfer to have ever lived. At this stage, he had won 71 times on tour and 14 major championships.

Like with many sports, athletes cross over and make friends by playing in celebrity events and mixing in similar circles off the golf course.
Woods became very close with two superstars from the NBA: Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley. Jordan is regarded as the best basketball player of all time, while Barkley was an 11-time NBA All-Star.
One could only imagine the conversations that this colossal trio would have. However, the bond came crashing down when Woods' life came crashing down.
Back in 2017, Barkley revealed that he hadn't heard from Woods since before he crashed his Cadillac Escalade around the time of the infidelity revelations eight years previous.
"I could understand if he was trying to get back with his wife at the time and she said, ‘Hey, get rid of all your old friends,’ and he called and said, ‘This is the situation.’"Barkley said.
"I would’ve understood that. But I just wish he would have been man enough to call and say that. To just disappear totally was disappointing."
In 2016, Jordan also revealed that Woods was too concerned about what others thought of him and it meant that he lost contact with the former Chicago Bulls superstar.
