PGA Tour pro BODIES (!) troll over Open insult: "There's been a murder"
PGA Tour pro Emiliano Grillo decided to engage a troll who insulted him about his performance at the 151st Open Championship.
When stories surface about PGA Tour pros destroying trolls on social media, you would be forgiven for thinking Max Homa is involved.
You could argue during his absolute prime there was nobody better than Homa owning critics.
But no, we are not talking about Homa here. Our protagonist in this story is Emiliano Grillo.
The 30-year-old Argentine - a two-time PGA Tour winner - competed at the 151st Open at Royal Liverpool.
More:
He put on a strong showing and posted a T-6 finish at Hoylake, earning himself a nice pay day of $551,250 in the process.
It represented his first career top-10 finish in a major championship.
One punter did place money on Grillo to do well. He tagged the golfer in a post to tell him as much but also insulted him in the process:

The ship was commissioned by the U.S. before it was sold to Argentina and was later sunk by the British navy during the Falklands.
Grillo's response...
Understandably, Grillo took issue and decided to absolutely destroy the punter, writing:
It's fair to say there were many that enjoyed Grillo's response.
Here's a selection of comments:
"Instead of counting sheep I'll be saying Rory"
Grillo played the final round of the 151st Open alongside Rory McIlroy.
Once again it was a story we have become all too familiar with for the Northern Irishman.
McIlroy did threaten to make a Sunday charge at Royal Liverpool but ultimately was left to rue a cold putter.
As for Grillo, he was asked what it was like playing alongside McIlroy during the final round of a major.
He told reporters:
