Farmers Insurance Open: How much they are playing for
This is the payout information for the 2023 Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines on the PGA Tour.
The Farmers Insurance Open on the PGA Tour carries a total prize purse of $8,700,000.
It means that the winner will take home a cheque for $1,566,000.
Heading into the event, Jon Rahm was the hot favourite. He was attempting to win three consecutive PGA Tour events.
Rahm flirted with missing the cut but produced a stunning display of golf to move himself into contention.
If Rahm were to win here, it would mean that he would take his Torrey Pines earnings to $852,918 per start.
His overall record at Torrey Pines is sensational. He's had one win, one second, one third and five top-10s.
That doesn't include his 2021 U.S. Open triumph.
Rahm went into the final round two strokes adrift of Sam Ryder, who is winless in his six-year PGA Tour career.
Depending on what happens elsewhere, Rahm could also return to the summit of the Official World Golf Ranking with a win.
Though the Spaniard admitted that he "doesn't care" anymore about the situation.
