Tiger Woods and his girlfriend Erica Herman deny all allegations linking them with the 'wrongful death' of Nicholas Immesberger...
Tiger Woods claims he and his girlfriend Erica Herman, nor any employees at The Woods Jupiter, were responsible for the death of bartender Nicholas Immesberger in December.
A 'wrongful death' lawsuit was filed by Immesberger's family claiming their son died in a car crash after reaching a point of "severe intoxication" when staying hours at the restaurant after his shift.
According to reports, Immesberger's blood alcohol level was more than three times the legal limit in Florida.
REPORT: TIGER WOODS SUED FOR 'WRONGFUL DEATH'
"If there was any negligence that caused or contributed to [Immesberger’s] alleged injuries, it was solely the result of negligence on the part of third parties who were not under the care, custody, control or supervision of [Woods]," read the motion.
The lawsuit claimed employees at The Woods Jupiter knew approximately how much Immesberger had been drinking prior to the car crash, and that they also knew his ongoing issues with alcoholism.
Woods lines up as one of the favourites at this week's US Open where he bids to win a 16th career major title to move within two major wins of Jack Nicklaus.
The former World No.1 has won three US Open titles (2000, 2002, 2008), the first of which he won at this week's venue Pebble Beach by a record 15 strokes.
