Rickie Fowler EXCLUSIVE: "I want a multiple win season with a major!"
Rickie talks Cobra Puma Golf, goals for 2020 and hopes of finally winning a major...
Rickie Fowler has told GolfMagic in an exclusive interview how nothing short of winning a first career major title in 2020 will do as he looks ahead to the new season on the PGA Tour.
Fowler, 30, is considered by many as the best player in the game to have never won a major championship having chalked up 11 top-10 finishes in 40 career major starts.
In 2014, Fowler became the third player, along with Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods to finish in the top five in all four majors in one calendar year, but the first player not to win. Jordan Spieth would then join that group in 2015, with Brooks Koepka adding his name to the list this season.
In an exclusive interview with GolfMagic during COBRA's new SPEEDZONE launch in the United States, Fowler, who won his fifth career PGA Tour title at the Phoenix Open earlier this season, spoke openly about his long-standing relationship with Cobra Puma Golf - the brand he has been partnered with ever since turning professional in 2009.
Fowler also touched upon his goals for the PGA Tour in 2020, including winning multiple times with a first career major title to his name.

Rickie on his partnership with Cobra Puma Golf...
"It's definitely been fun. All the research and development that goes into the new product. It's always fun to show people what we've done and what we've got coming up. Being able to have the partnership we do has that smaller feel vs the big manufacturers with a bunch of people playing. That smaller feel, me, Bryson, Lexi... we have direct feedback as to what's going on as far as the new equipment is concerned, seeing prototypes, giving feedback and ultimately having a part in the final product."
Rickie on getting married and having a mini break from the game...
"It's definitely been nice to have a break. The wedding, the honeymoon, kind of back into the swing of things now and getting ready to get back out there."
Rickie on being the best player to never win a major...
"I'm definitely up there! There's some good players that haven't won yet, but I'd like to get my name off that list soon."
Rickie on his goals for 2020...
"Solo achievements are most important. I'd like to have a multiple win season, with a major victory in there. Taking care of winning and playing well, everything else will fall into place. It will be nice to have a chance to compete in the Olympics, the Ryder Cup and different stuff like that. Winning takes care of a lot of things."
