Jon Rahm follows TOPPED fairway wood by hitting a tree stump plum centre!
Rahm has an absolute mare on the par-5 8th hole on day three at The Masters...
Jon Rahm looked all set to make a birdie on the par-5 8th hole after ripping his drive 316 yards down the middle of the fairway - that was before he then turned into an 18-handicapper for the next five minutes.
To the disbelief of the commentary box and the millions of golf fans watching around the world, Rahm topped his fairway wood shot from outside of 250 yards way left into the rough, with the ball barely getting airborne.
Even the best golfers can be guilty of topping now and again!

The Spaniard, understandably shocked as to what just happened, then compounded his mistake with another shortly afterwards when in the rough.
Rahm attempted to thread his ball through a gap in the trees and up to the green, however he struck his ball plum centre into the giant tree stump in front of him and the ball richocheted into a bush and an unplayable lie.

He was forced to take a penalty stroke and chipped his ball onto the green, and two putts later Rahm was writing down a double-bogey seven onto his card to fall back to 8-under par for the tournament after eight holes on day three.
Rahm's playing partner Dustin Johnson has set the pace on day three by playing his first eight holes in 5-under par to move to 14-under par at the time of this publication.
