WATCH: Bryson DeChambeau's painfully awkward moment at LIV Golf London
Bryson DeChambeau can't help but make headlines.
Nobody seems to be able to produce golf headlines time and time again quite like LIV Golf's Bryson DeChambeau.
The 29-year-old is constantly in golf news whether it be an intense muscle-related weight gain to increase distance or getting caught up in a rope at a tournament.
And despite eight wins throughout his PGA Tour career, including the 2020 US Open at Winged Foot, DeChambeau has drifted slightly into the background at LIV Golf.
Since joining last season, he's failed to produce a victory in the rival circuit, and up until recently, had few top-10 finishes.
Lately, it seems the American has finally got back into the swing of things and has been producing results that seem more on-par with his skill level.
He's finished inside the top 15 in each of the past four LIV Golf events, and inside the top 25 at the past two majors.
This past week, LIV Golf was just outside of London at Centurion Club for its ninth event of the season.
Cameron Smith won the tournament, while DeChambeau produced another solid result despite finishing seven strokes back.
But people are caught up on something else he did at this week's event.
During the second round, a hilarious DeChambeau moment was caught on camera by a fan.
In the video, posted to the official Crushers GC Instagram account, you can see a fan reaching out to get a fist bump from DeChambeau as he walks by, but the major champion painfully misses contact with the fan's fist for a terribly awkward encounter.
See it for yourself:
It was a smooth transition into a thumbs-up after the miss though, so he does get points for a quick recovery.
