LIV Golf pro in fiery social media exchange after congratulating Wyndham Clark!
A LIV Golf star had a back-and-forth with one user on Twitter after the US Open final on Sunday.
LIV Golf's Graeme McDowell was involved in a fiery exchange on social media after he posted a congratulatory message to newly-crowned US Open champion Wyndham Clark.
Over the weekend, Clark, 29, held off Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler to earn his first major championship title with the 123rd US Open.
He shot a steady, even-par 70 over his final 18 holes at Los Angeles Country Club to edge out the Northern Irishman by one stroke.
The USGA-run event marked the second career win while playing on the PGA Tour for Clark, who earned his first last month at the Wells Fargo Championship.
It also means that this season's major championships have seen two winners from the PGA Tour and one from LIV Golf after Brooks Koepka won last month's PGA Championship.
Though the PGA Tour recently announced an agreement to form a new entity with the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia (PIF) which also funds LIV Golf, the two leagues continue to be separate and players only meet during the major championships.
McDowell was one of the first big names to join the LIV Golf league ahead of the London event in 2022 and his 10th place finish at the inaugural event is still his best to date in the new league.
The Northern Irishman didn't qualify for this year's US Open, but he did appear to still catch some of Sunday's final.
Following Clark's victory, McDowell tweeted:
Congrats @Wyndham_Clark. Good dude. Stripe show. Deserved. Never give up. Golf is hard.

However, one Twitter user didn't appear too focused on Clark and the US Open, but instead on McDowell.
The user replied, asking McDowell if he was still playing golf himself.
McDowell responded:
Here's the exchange:
I play 54 holes from time to time. Nearly as many as you have followers. Be well.
