CONFIRMED: LIV Golf raid PGA Tour for two players before second $405m campaign
LIV Golf officially confirms two players on the PGA Tour are joining them for their new season.
LIV Golf has today officially confirmed the signings of PGA Tour players Mito Pereira and Sebastian Munoz, both of whom competed in last year's International Presidents Cup team.
GolfMagic first brought the industry news of Pereira's imminent signature on LIV Golf when publishing this exclusive just before the biennial contest between the Internationals and the United States back in September.
Despite competing on Trevor Immelman's International Presidents Cup team last year, Pereira has never won a tournament on the PGA Tour.
He is best known for throwing away the US PGA Championship on the 72nd hole.
Pereira held a one-shot lead down the final hole but drove into the water and ended up making a double-bogey six to miss out on a playoff by one shot.
Justin Thomas went on to defeat Will Zalatoris in the three-hole aggregate playoff.
Pereira is also joined on LIV Golf from the PGA Tour by his Internationals compatriot Munoz, who won the 2019 Sanderson Farms Championship.
Munoz and Pereira will now join forces with their good friend Joaquin Niemann, who like Pereira is from Chile and the captain of Torque GC.
Little-known David Puig, who ranks outside the world's top 1000, is the fourth player named in the side.

David Puig will be in Joaco Niemann's team. Now, David Puig (with @hugocostagolf ) has said that he only has the first 7 tournaments guaranteed. He should finish above the Top 24 of the singles. Really, all very strange.

The red-hot 4 Aces GC, which picked up just about everything last year, will once again be captained by former World No.1 and two-time major champion Dustin Johnson.
LIV Golf officially confirms two players on the PGA Tour are joining them for their new season.
DJ will be joined by Patrick Reed and Pat Perez, just like in 2022, but they have replaced Talor Gooch with Peter Uihlein.
You may recall Johnson made that decision immediately after the Team Championship at the end of October.
