Brooks Koepka gets involved in golf rules dispute: "It's the answer!"
Brooks Koepka offered his thoughts on a viral golf argument during the LIV Golf Chicago pro-am before jetting off to the 2023 Ryder Cup.
Brooks Koepka has offered his thoughts on the viral golf argument that hit the headlines earlier in the week.
We are talking, of course, about the row that occurred during Barstool Sports' Writer Cup.
What, GolfMagic, are you talking about? What happened? Why was it such a big deal?
Well, the brouhaha was over the technicalities of the scramble format.
The argument was between Kirk Minihane and Barstool Sports' Dave Portnoy.
Minihane and Hank Lookwood were playing against Francis Ellis and Arian Foster.
Francis tapped in for a bogey after missing a short-range par putt, leaving Ellis the chance to try for his birdie.
But as Francis had holed out, Minihane argued it didn't matter what Ellis did and their score was a bogey. Simple.
An expletive-laden argument followed between Portnoy and Minihane and it was all quite unpleasant.
"It's a dirt bag move and you know it," Portnoy told Minihane.

The clip spread like wildfire and even Padraig Harrington weighed in with his two cents.
Now Koepka has got involved. He played alongside Dan Katz, who works for Barstool Sports, in the LIV Golf Chicago pro-am.
In the name of #content, Koepka was asked for his opinion.
Koepka said:

In the very same tournament, eagle-eyed viewers also noticed Koepka made an interesting equipment change ahead of the Ryder Cup.
Koepka, who was also sporting a new haircut, was spotted using a TaylorMade SIM2 Driver during a solid 3-under 67 first round.
The five-time major champ had been using the Srixon ZX5 LS MK II given he is an ambassador for the brand.
