Lisa Maguire retires from golf aged 24 to grow women's game in Ireland
Lisa Maguire joins Niall Horan's Modest Golf management company to grow Irish ladies golf.
Lisa Maguire has confirmed her retirement from professional golf aged just 24 in a bid to help grow the women's game in Ireland.
Maguire, who only turned pro in 2018, won the leading amateur at the 2020 Ladies Irish Open and twice represented Europe in the Junior Solheim Cup and also Great Britain & Ireland in the Curtis Cup.
On top of those achievements, Maguire made her debut on the Ladies European Tour Access Series earlier in April this season, and also played on the second-tier Symetra Tour in the United States.
She is also the twin sister of rising star Leona Maguire, who recently locked up her LPGA Tour card for 2020.
Lisa has now confirmed she will work with pop star Niall Horan's golf management company, Modest Golf, in a bid to drive participation of ladies golf in her homeland.
"Over the last 15 years, golf has afforded me so many wonderful opportunities to travel the world, meet new people and to experience new cultures in a way I would have never thought possible," said Maguire.
"Golf has been and still remains one of my true passions in life, and I am very excited to be continuing my career in golf, working with Modest Golf Management.
"Growing the women's game is very important to me and I look forward to working with Modest in helping young girls achieve their dreams of reaching their highest levels of the professional game."
Modest Golf manages a number of the European Tour's finest golfers in the world including last week's Turkish Airlines Open champion Tyrrell Hatton and two-time winner this season and GolfMagic Tour blogger Guido Migliozzi.
