While we're all well-accustomed to the yearly cycle of new driver releases, the announcement of a new driver range from Titleist always seems to carry that little bit of extra interest.

The reasons for this are many. Titleist, unlike many other manufacturers, release their drivers in two-year release cycles, meaning you generally get more tech and performance updates as a result.

Titleist drivers are among the best you can buy and also the most gamed on tour, accounting for 40% of all drivers used on the PGA Tour last year.

Riding the momentum of this success, Titleist has finally officially unveiled its brand new driver range for the 2026 and 2027 seasons.

The GTS range, as it's called, hit tour bags at March's Houston Open, with Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth both switching straight into the new range. Now, we have details of exactly what's gone into the new drivers, as well as their release dates to the general public.

The range consists of the GTS2, GTS3 and GTS4 models, following Titleist's now familiar naming convention. The GTS2 serve as the all-round core model driver, offering higher spin, higher launch and more forgiveness. The GTS3 and GTS4 will serve as lower-launching, lower-spin models for faster swingers with differing head profiles, the GTS4 being the lowest-spin, lowest-launching of the pair.

We're yet to find out if the ultra-forgiving GT1, generally reserved for slower swingers, will be supplanted by a GTS1 model.

Naturally, the GTS range also introduces a host of new technological breakthroughs for the brand. The GTS once again features a thermoform body made from Titleist’s Proprietary Matrix Polymer, shaped to be even more aerodynamic than before. A new split mass design has also allowed the brand's engineers to concentrate as much mass as possible both towards the rear and the bottom-front of the club, optimising CG for both launch and speed.

“We know that forward CGs drive speed with great launch and spin characteristics, but you need to be able to do that with an inertial stability that still preserves ball speed, launch and spin consistency on off-centre hits,” Luttrell said. “We’ve never before been able to hit these CG positions and inertia properties at the same time, and we’re achieving that because of GTS’ construction.”

The new Speed Sync face builds on the success of the Speed Ring found in the prior GT range, effectively widening the sweet spot beyond the top of the club's crown to improve speeds on above-centre strikes. A variable face thickness design also boosts performance on strikes across the face.

Lastly, all three new GTS models will feature an adjustable weighting system, with forward-aft and rear-aft weights that can be flipped around to promote launch or lower-spin and speed.

Like clockwork, the GTS range is already proving a great success on tours around the world. The DP World Tour's Bernd Wiesberger Davis Lamb of the Korn Ferry Tour and KPGA tour pro Sangyeop Lee have all claimed tournament wins playing a GTS Driver

The full Titleist GTS range is available for pre-sale now, while you can stay tuned on all the latest GTS updates over at Titleist's website.
