While plenty of high-profile sportspeople have gravitated towards the game of golf in their retirement, few have done so with quite the level of gusto as Sir Andy Murray.

In just a couple of years playing the game, the Wimbledon Champion and Olympic Gold medallist has emerged as one of the sport's most engaged amateurs, routinely making appearances at Pro-Am events like the BMW PGA and declaring publicly that he'd one day like to enter regional qualifying for the Open. Such is the Scot's enthusiasm and skill for the game, Callaway took notice and signed him as a brand ambassador earlier this year.

Now, Murray is on course for yet another high-profile appearance at this weekend's Andrew Dunhill Links, where he'll partner DP World Tour pro Eddie Pepperell in the DP World Tour's signature Pro-Am team event. He'll play alongside Ryder Cup champion Tyrrell Hatton and his brother jeff on the first day of play at Carnoustie, before linking up with Robert Macintyre and Brett Overman the next day at Kingsbarns before rounding out the weekend at St Andrews alongside Jordan Smith and comedy legend Bill Murray.

So what clubs does Murray, actually have in play? Callaway are yet to give us a full tour of his set-up, however we were able to gleam some answers both from his most recent round at the BMW PGA, as well as Callaway's ‘On The Course With…’ episode, filmed with Murray at St Andrews and released just yesterday.

Here, then, is everything we know so far.

What's Sir Andy Murray's Golf Handicap?

Murray reportedly plays off a two handicap, having worked to bring his number down extensively over the past year or so. In a video with the Fore Bros released earlier this year, Murray claimed that he'd been able to attain that figure after just nine months of committed playing following his retirement. Even assuming that Murray played to some extent during his Tennis career, it's still a phenomenal effort to say the least.

Given Murray's ambitions of entering Regional Qualifying require him to have a handicap below 0.4, we should perhaps expect that number to go down even further as time goes on.

One area Murray shouldn't have too many concerns is in his equipment set-up, as he's now a fully-minted Callaway endorsee. This sees him take to the course in a full-suite of the American brand's clubs.

Unlike some tour pros who still play some of the brand's older models for the sake of consistency, Murray's more recent signing means he has been fitted into Callaway's most recent models, and it's fair to say he's been fitted into some fairly high-grade equipment.

From what we've been able to see thus far, Murray plays a full suite of Callaway's Elyte woods, including what appears to be an Elyte Triple Diamond driver, fitted with Project X Denali shafts.

He also uses Callaway Apex TCB irons, fitted with Project X Dynamic Gold shafts – as he was pictured in action with at the 2025 BMW PGA Pro-Am.

The set is rounded out with a full suite of Callaway's Opus wedges and an Odyssey Wing Back DB Putter, while he apparently prefers the extra alignment of Callaway's Triple Track Chrome Tour ball. He's also apparently no stranger to playing golf in his old Under Armour tennis shoes, as he did in the video alongside Inci Mehmet.
