Rickie Fowler reveals new Cobra irons; Rory McIlroy with funny comment
Rickie Fowler shows off his new Cobra proto irons at the Hero World Challenge...
Rickie Fowler carded an opening 3-under 69 at the Hero World Challenge and then took to social media to reveal his stunning new customised Cobra proto irons that he will be using on the PGA Tour in 2020.
Of his new irons, featuring a cool 'RF' logo in the bottom corner, the World No.22 explained he had been working with his equipment manufacturer Cobra Golf on his new irons ever since January 2019...
Fowler posted three images of his new proto irons, with the caption: "A better look at my Cobra Golf proto irons... second and third pics are top down view of 8 (40 degrees) and 4 (24 degrees) iron... we started working on these back in January.
"I wanted an old school look (thin/straight top line and no offset) while keeping the benefits of the sole and weight behind the sweet spot (tungsten plugs) these are all hand milled stainless heads... currently working on a PVD finish for the final version... stay tuned."
Immediately after posting the three snaps, Rory McIlroy commented: "That last pic gives me the shakes (mind blown emoji) #butterknife."
The rest of the thread is pretty hilarious - we recommend checking out a number of the comments on the post, some of which might just make your day.

Fowler is this week making his first competitive start since finishing 19th of 30 players in the Tour Championship.
The American was named one of Tiger Woods' captain's picks in next week's US Presidents Cup side following the withdrawal of World No.1 Brooks Koepka, who remains sidelined from golf due to a knee injury.
