Young turned professional in 2020 and played on the Korn Ferry Tour, where he earned his PGA Tour card for the 2021-2022 season after finishing in the top 25 of the Korn Ferry Tour regular season points list.
The American is now one of the world's best players in the game.
Young is a three-time winner on the PGA Tour, with two wins coming in 2026 at the Players Championship and Cadillac Championship.
Prior to his first win, Young had the unwanted record of having the most runner-up finishes on the PGA Tour without a win since records began in 1983.
Young is also known for his impressive amateur career, where he won multiple tournaments including the 2018 U.S. Amateur and the 2019 Western Amateur.
He was also named the 2019 Jack Nicklaus Award winner, given annually to the Division I Golfer of the Year.
A further testament to his talent was Young being voted as the PGA Tour's Rookie of The Year. He received 94 per cent of the vote.
Young was close to joining the LIV Golf League in 2022, suggesting he was 'very interested' in joining the rival tour but opted against it.
On the course, he is known for his distance. In his maiden season, he averaged 319 yards off the tee.
